Scarlett Johansson drops price on NYC penthouse after year on the market

Scarlett Johansson is having a tough time selling her New York City penthouse after a year and a half on the market without any offers, The Post has learned.

The price has now been cut to $1.86 million after initially listing the two-bedroom, two-bathroom residence back in July 2020 for $2.3 million amid the height of the coronavirus pandemic.

The property received its latest $100,000 price cut earlier this month from its previous listing of $1.995 million.

Made up of 1,300 square feet, the renovated residence went up for sale shortly after the two-time Oscar-nominated actress, 37, married “Saturday Night Live” star Colin Jost, 39.

Johansson had purchased the home in 2008 for $2.1 million, which means she is likely to get a significant loss on the home after also taking into account extensive renovations.

The home was also listed for rent at one point at $6,500 per month.

Features of the Midtown East residence include warm-toned hardwood floors, floor-to-ceiling sliding windows and an updated open kitchen with integrated appliances and marble countertops.

The living and dining space opens out to the terrace, which offers 500 square feet for al-fresco dining.

The primary bedroom comes with an ensuite bathroom, a walk-in closet and an enclosed solarium that further wraps around to the main terrace, which boasts an open skyline view, the listing states.

Meanwhile, Jost put his longtime West Village duplex on the market in October after the birth of his first child with Johansson in August. The home still remains on sale today.

But Johansson isn’t the only celebrity struggling to sell her Manhattan abode. Jennifer Lopez was forced to take her Flatiron neighborhood penthouse off the market after four years without a buyer.

Sonja Morgan and Bethenny Frankel have also needed to glide their homes on and off the market after getting no offers.

Noble Black of Douglas Elliman holds the listing.
