This might be the best way to invest in real estate in a hot market. It also very well could be the best real estate investing strategy for beginners and newer investors. That strategy is house hacking. House hacking is where you buy a property as a primary residence and rent out additional space to offset expenses. House hacking is how I started with real estate investing, and it drastically reduced my net housing costs. Not only did it allow me to control real estate, I could save more money to go and buy more real estate.
