‘Stranger Things’ Creel House sells for $100K over ask

The demogorgons proved no deterrent to buyers of this Victorian manor.

The Georgia estate used as a set in the fourth season of the hit Netflix show “Stranger Things” has a new owner.

After listing for $1.5 million in November, the seven-bedroom spread in the Peach State city of Rome sold Wednesday for $1.6 million, according to public records.

“After a marketing blitz, multiple offers, and a quick closing … I think all our heads are spinning a bit,” Toles, Temple & Wright listing agent Jeb Arp — who, along with Mimi Richards and Katie Gettis Edwards, represented the property’s seller — wrote in a Facebook post announcing the news, and adding that “Fortunately, Vecna is not involved with the head spinning.”

Known locally as the Claremont House, the 140-year-old, 6,000-square-foot mansion was last bought in 2019, for just $350,000. The house has since undergone an extensive renovation, its last owners carefully restoring its historic details. That, and featuring as the Creel family home and Vecna’s Mindscape in the show have evidently added a great deal of value to the five-bathroom address.

In addition to stunning period notes — including layered moldings, pocket doors, wood flooring and its original windows — the abode also boasts an antique wall safe, custom cabinetry, a cast-iron urinal and built-in bookshelves. There’s a mansard roof, an outdoor foyer, an unfinished third floor and, behind the main property, a stand-alone Gothic-style guest house with a kitchen and multiple bedrooms.

“You will recognize much of what has been prominently featured in the show’s fourth season, including … the majestic formal dining room where telekinesis is no longer practiced during meals; an adjoining parlor, perfect for playing Dungeons and Dragons; and a living room ideal for hosting meetings of the Hellfire Club,” the listing advertised, as The Post previously reported, noting that “In the event that things get too strange and even go awry, a funeral home is located nearby.”
