Christian McCaffrey is saying goodbye to the North Carolina penthouse he lived in during his time with the Panthers.
McCaffrey, 26, was drafted by the team as a rookie in 2017, first renting an apartment until he bought this Charlotte unit for $2 million in 2019, according to the Wall Street Journal.
Listed for $3.75 million, the star running back is hoping to set a record for the three-bedroom, four-bath unit, located in the luxe SKYE condominium building.
If it sells anywhere close to that amount, it will be the most expensive condo ever sold in Charlotte per-square-foot.
“To me, this penthouse was more than a home. It allowed me to feel a part of the city that I love so much every time I look out the window,” McCaffrey told The Post in a statement. “You can’t find a better layout for a condo anywhere in Charlotte.”
“It’s a home with so much character, and I’m so excited to pass along such an amazing home to the next owner,” McCaffrey added.
The unit occupies 3,800 square feet of indoor space with a terrace and a 200-square-foot patio.
Features include a great room with 25-foot-high ceilings and double-height windows along two exposures. There’s also a chef’s kitchen with stainless steel appliances, a cooking island and a separate oversize dining island.
The main-floor hallway features a barrel ceiling and a custom mural by Tampa-based artist Michael Vahl, which depicts real-life and fictional characters that have inspired McCaffrey throughout his life, according to the statement.
A glass and steel architectural staircase leads to the second floor.
Each of the bedrooms includes an ensuite bath.
The master bedroom features a an oversize shower with a rain head and a freestanding soaking tub.
Building amenities include a rooftop pool, a fitness center, a 24-hour concierge, a theater room, a game room, a club room and a rooftop fine-dining restaurant from chef Rocco Whalen.
Victoria Speer, of Ivester Jackson Christie’s International Real Estate, holds the listing.
“The perfect buyer for this penthouse is someone who wants one-of-a-kind luxury, privacy
and proximity to all that the city has to offer,” Speer said.
In October, the Panthers traded McCaffrey to the San Francisco 49ers in exchange for 2023 second, third, and fourth-round picks and 2024 fifth round pick.
Meanwhile, the Panthers last week acquired the No. 1 overall pick in the upcoming NFL draft from the Chicago Bears.
“The team’s next star player could very well be the next owner of this residence,” Speer said.
McCaffrey has been dating model and influencer Olivia Culpo for the past three years.
