Necker Island has announced its virgin voyage of accepting Christmastime bookings.

Business magnate Richard Branson’s British Virgin Islands paradise has only ever been available to personal guests, the very famous or those rich enough to book the entire landmass during the holiday season — until now.

“This year, we’re inviting travelers from around the world to experience something very special to close out the year and celebrate 2023,” James Basson, the general manager of Necker Island, recently told Robb Report. “For the first time, we are offering guests the opportunity to book an individual room over selected dates during the festive season and have unique access to our beautiful private island.”

Individual rooms are now available for reservations for specific dates over the course of this month and next — Nov. 18 to 25 and Dec. 11 to 26.

Rates start at $5,400, but that doesn’t simply include the privilege of sleeping in the tropical oasis. Accommodations include food, alcohol, the return boat transfer to society (via the Virgin Gorda or Beef Island airports) as well as entertainment ranging from water sports to child-friendly fun, according to Robb Report.

For those looking to travel on Christmas Eve or Day, look elsewhere: Those two days are no-travel days on Necker Island, although visitors will be well provided for.

The Christmas itinerary currently includes events such as the “Get Grinched Beach Olympics,” a visit from Santa Claus, a themed evening of food and dancing inspired by “The Nutcracker,” as well as an after-party with a DJ.

Other less-seasonal activities will also be at Necker Island traveler’s disposal, including kitesurfing, paddle boarding, kayaking, sunbathing or taking a dip in the pool.

In all, the 74-acre retreat only has 24 rooms, but as of this week, at least, there are still some available.

Previous celebrity guests of Necker Island have included Kate Winslet and Harry Styles.
