Summary: The U.S. Housing Market Crash has officially begun. With 30-year mortgage rates now above 5%, layoffs are starting to intensify in the mortgage origination sector. If the Federal Reserve continues to project several 50BP rate hikes this year, we will undoubtedly enter Stagflation and then very likely a recession.

Inflation will unlikely be impacted in the short-term by interest rates.
